JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Logistics and Supply Chain
To supervise and ute all the ¡®import¡¯ procedures of inventories, sales tools, fixtures and furnitures from both international and local suppliers / forwarders to ensure timely and accurate delivery to local warehouse.
To partner with merchandising team by exercising appropriate control over shipping/delivery timing efficiently, in order to guarantee timely placement of our products at locations. This involves building suppliers / vendors relationships, and developing innovate projects that drive improvements in transportation processes such as shortening delivery time and warehouse-stocked time for products.
This person is responsible for inventory control such as minimizing the discrepancy in inventory taking. Also manage compliance of all legal requirements in every supply chain activities.
l Importing Procedures • To manage all import procedures of products from suppliers to warehouse and shops (or other locations necessary) • To coordinate with logistics suppliers to handle local ¡®tagging¡¯ process to all necessary products from overseas suppliers • To communicate with all the stakeholders, such as suppliers, forwarders, local warehouse, merchandisers, and shops in order to ensure timely delivery. • To keep up with all customs regulations changes in order to perform all necessary reporting to customs authorities. l Inventory Management / Adjustment • To control year-end write-off procedure in co-ordination with Retail & Finance teaml Irregular/Claim/returns • To cooperate with Merchandising team to monitor defective returned products from DOS / DOB, identified from point of arrival through sales activities at one stop l Shop Opening / Closing • Support shop opening, closing, event logistics l Business System supportl Cost efficiency monitoring • To monitor all logistics costs incurring from warehouse and multiple logistics suppliers and seek for any potential to further cost reduction • To Advise and take actions to reduce logistic cost • To participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes in relation to planning, reporting, and communicating to other functions such as MD and Sales • To provide periodic reporting to Finance Manager such as monthly inventory status report, stock variance report and etc • To plan and ute ¡®packaging¡¯ expenditure properly in order to furnish sufficient packaging products to all shops and at the same time ensure accurate financial planning l IT assets and network management • Budget preparation and cost monitoring |
