Job Description

1. Job Purpose

In-house Legal Counsel with 3 or more years of experience in corporate law, M&A, joint ventures, equity investments and commercial transactions to join our in-house legal team’s international legal affairs practice. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to combine knowledge of law with familiarity with corporate strategic goals and initiatives in order to provide legal, corporate and business line senior management with professional and subject matter expertise and effective advice.

Responsibility	% of time
1. Act as legal counsel and support business growth by advising on potential international M&A, equity investment and joint venture deals. Work closely with internal clients to develop legal strategy on new businesses and investments, oversee the engagement of outside counsel and facilitate the negotiation and ution of cross-border transactions with counterparts.
2. Review, draft, negotiate, interpret and approve highly complex commercial contracts, including licenses and other technology transaction agreements. Manage day-to-day project and corporate affairs.
3. Research and advise on legal issues. Oversee all work being performed by outside counsel relating to assigned matters.

2. Qualifications

A- Education

Required:

· Juris Doctor degree or equivalent

B- Experience

Required:

· Number of years of relevant professional experience: 3 or more years at a US law firm

· Other required professional experience: Please see section on Responsibility

C- Technical skills:

· Excellent legal analysis and writing skills.

· Strong negotiation and deal-making skills, complex analytical and problem solving skills and the proven ability to exercise sound judgment in a variety of situations.

· Strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, organizational and negotiation skills, as well as being a self-starter.

D- Language skills

· English. Proficiency in Korean is preferred but not required.
