Job description

·      Manage overall import/export process assuring optimized operations from manufacturing to Customers

·      Design and improve processes in both importing & exporting.

·      Manage import/export customs clearance and export clearance data filing.

·      Manage HTS code & tariff rate evaluation, types of Transaction, document preparation with Corporate Trade Compliance team

·      Manages import duty/tax payment

·      Manage duty recovery and Free Trade Agreement back end shipping

·      Duty and tax reporting to Corporate Trade Compliance

·      Manage FTA duty avoidance (KOR-EU, KORUS, KOR-ASEAN)

·      Manage export licenses for Strategic material including filing of licenses

·      Monthly Intercompany AR/AP reconciliation of all rec

·      ords to imports and exports.

·      Review Broker import data for internal audit

·      Review Broker import data for KPI’s

·      Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in export/import compliance.

·      Experience with Export Determination and License determination steps

·      Fluency in English required. Fluency in Mandarin required.

·      Interact globally with Order Admin, Service Logistics, HR, Supply Chain and Sales

·      Socialize relevant regulations into business objectives.

·      Respond to government inquiries and address issues that are above and beyond day-to-day transactional issues/questions.

·      Drive understanding of compliance requirements and sensitivity to compliance risks through training, seminars and other mechanisms.

·      Monitor regulatory changes and help revise compliance policies and practices in accordance with changing legal framework and business models.

·      Assist in negotiating and drafting export/import compliance contract clauses.

·      Assist in conducting trade compliance-related investigations.
